Community Engagement Coordinator

I believe in Call to Freedomʼs mission because it reflects the heart of Jesus. He meets people in their darkest places, brings them out of it, and walks with them. This mission does the same by helping individuals find safety and providing them with the support, resources, and community they need.

What do you like to do outside of work (hobbies, sports, interests)?

I love to go on walks, try new recipes, meet with my Bible study group, and spend time with my family!

What is a fun fact about you?

I studied abroad in Rome, Italy and during solo travel week, I traveled to 6 countries!

Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany and Austria

What is your favorite snack/treat?

White cheddar Cheeto puffs or a Poppi (strawberry lemon or wildberry)!

What song inspires or motivates you (who sings it)?

"Build My Life" by Housefires

What is something you’re proud of and why?

Iʼm proud of myself for following Godʼs calling even when everything felt uncertain or uncomfortable. This includes moving to California for college and studying abroad in Rome without knowing anyone. Those experiences strengthened my faith and trust in Godʼs plan for my life.

What is your personal and professional journey that led you to Call to Freedom?

I feel a calling to serve 'the least of these,' (Matthew 25:40) which led me to work in nonprofits through internships and my most recent role. Each experience has strengthened my skills and deepened my commitment to helping others.

What kinds of projects are you most excited to work on at Call to Freedom?

I am excited to engage our community, share the reality of trafficking in South Dakota, and offer them the knowledge and motivation to respond in a meaningful way.

Why do you believe in the mission of Call to Freedom?

I believe in Call to Freedomʼs mission because it reflects the heart of Jesus. He meets people in their darkest places, brings them out of it, and walks with them. This mission does the same by helping individuals find safety and providing them with the support, resources, and community they need.

How do you think your position at Call to Freedom is important to the mission?

Call to Freedomʼs mission thrives on an informed and supportive community. Many people do not realize how serious trafficking is. By educating the public and connecting volunteers to meaningful service, I help build the network of support that allows survivors to move forward.
