Director of Development

I find it amazing how many people don’t realize that trafficking and sexual exploitation exist in South Dakota and the Sioux Falls area. In my position I will be able to help bring awareness and tell the story of Call to Freedom and how we are able to help people in need by providing services to meet them where they are and, in some cases, help them reclaim their life.

I am proud of all my kids. They have/are taking different paths in life and it’s exciting to see them overcome their challenges and still come to me at times for advice

What is your personal and professional journey that led you to Call to Freedom?

I worked for the Boy Scouts of America for 27 years and most recently 17 years as the Chief Operations Director with extensive fundraising experience. God had a different plan for me and my family; that’s why I’m with Call to Freedom.

What kinds of projects are you most excited to work on at Call to Freedom?

I’m excited to work on development, special events, and the capital campaign. I’m also excited to see our case workers be successful because they are so hands-on with the clients.

Why do you believe in the mission of Call to Freedom?

I find it amazing how many people don’t realize that trafficking and sexual exploitation exist in South Dakota and the Sioux Falls area. In my position I will be able to help bring awareness and tell the story of Call to Freedom and how we are able to help people in need by providing services to meet them where they are and, in some cases, help them reclaim their life.

How do you think your position at Call to Freedom is important to the mission?

I view development as a backbone to the organization without funding, things like case work, occupational therapy, and transitional housing can’t happen. In many ways, the organization won’t exist.
