Grants Management Specialist
I believe in Call to Freedom’s mission because I share the same exact core values as the organization. I strive to help people in my coummunity feel safe, heard, supportd, and empowered. Furthermore, I want my work to make a real difference locally, and this organization shares the same mission. It is especially meaningful to be part of something that helps people rebuild their lives and regain independence.
What is your personal and professional journey that led you here?
My background in writing and in sustainability led me to Call to Freedom. I have always been passionate about making a positive difference in the community I live in, and I strive to make the world more inclusive and welcoming for every single person. This organization creates light in a world of darkness, and I am honored to be part of an organization that supports survivors of human trafficking.
How do you think your position at CTF is important to the mission?
My role directly supports the services that survivors rely on. At Call to Freedom, the mission is about helping people rebuild safety and independence after exploitation, and that work depends on funding being managed responsibly and consistently.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I am an avid scuba diver, reader, creative writer, and gardener.
What is a fun fact about yourself?
I love animals! I have a dog and two cats that live with me in my one-bedroom apartment, and I am a vegetarian.
What is your favorite treat/snack?
Ice cream is my go-to treat, especially during the summer months (but also during the winter).
What song inspires or motivates you?
Beautiful by Carole King
