In most cases, the stories we hear about victims of sex abuse and exploitation don’t usually come to us through the victims themselves.
Yet, when one of our next guests heard the stories directly from more than 100 human trafficking victims, he was moved to create a film shedding light on the topic.
Ejaz Khan is the director of that film entitled “Trapped.” And Becky Rasmussen is the President and CEO of Call to Freedom, the organization that is hosting a special screening of the film tonight at the State Theatre in downtown Sioux Falls.
They were in studio with us to share some of the behind-the-scenes stories of the film, which was shot in rural North Dakota, and explain why Call to Freedom felt called to make sure more people hear its message.
